Angie is a Hong Kong based Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher, Mindfulness-Based practitioner and Instructor & Teacher Trainer for children and youth programs. Angie is passionate about sharing the benefits of weaving mindfulness and meditation into our lives through practice and actions. Originally from Perth and having lived and worked in Hong Kong since 1992, Angie has lived through this experience and shifted the pathway of her work and life to share these profound transformations with others. Working with a wide diversity of people in her groups, Angie’s kind, caring and open approach allows participant to open to compassion and curiosity no matter their age or background. After many years working exclusively with children and youth, and training others to teach Mindfulness for Children and Teens programs, she saw the need to bridge the missing link, and trained with Timothea and the team at Mindfulness Training Institute Australia.
Angie offers MBSR both online and in-person; designs and leads workshops, short courses and practice groups for companies, schools, teacher and parent groups, and non-government support groups and charities. As the partner and trainer for the Academy for Mindful Teaching in Asia, she offer teacher training and supervision in the Method Eline Snel programs, and works with children and youth with these programs.
To build our community and further support teachers and practitioners of mindfulness, Angie organizes multiple-day retreats in association with the HK Insight Meditation Society.
She is presently the Treasurer and committee member of the HK Mindfulness Teachers Network.
